If you were to ask why?
  • This companies are using same images. It seems like they were taken by same photographer. If you look carefully you can easily notice it.
  • If you buy from these companies and when you check back side of the product you can see that barcode system to list the products are same.
  • Campaigns are made in particular intervals and if you are registered to newsletters of these websites you can see the campaigns following each other.

For all these reasons I think that these companies are belonging to same company or individual. This system is made to create different brands for each website. If a customer is unsatisfied with one website they will never buy from there again and other brands are created to hold this particular unsatisfied customer.

  1. Hi CigarAnalysis,

Can you advise me please have you ever shopped on cigarone.com? need some recommendation

    • dont buy i placed an order about a month and a half ago never received my order and have not herd back from them

    • Cigar one is no good anymore, NO Habanos SA label on site now, I have ordered many times from this company with no issues. last order….. I got fake cohiba robustos with bad bands (no head inside the main hologram head, just a wishy washy kind of head maybe , black in band is more dark dark gray and scrached off micro seal serial numbers. I am so pissed off, oh and a peeled off warning label stuck back on the bottom of the box over the date codes, WTF really . I also noticed that the box was damaged and a totaly darker color then any box I got from them in the past, Yep these guys have gone south, stay clear my friends

    • I bought from cigar one an month ago, they sent my choice by registered swiss post . Although it was not as fast as EMS, but their packaging and unit condition was great… unlike the other website nextcigar.com …
I found these two website have about 80% same products , same description ,but most important thing is : they got different price! Nextcigar.com was much more expensive than cigarone.com ,and the product condition ? Cigarone was totally better! Somehow when i decide to buy cohiba robusto from cigarone…they went out of stock, while nextcigar still on stock ,but they charge more USD 80!! 410–>490 .When I purchase from Nextcigar.com, next morning ,the strange thing happened! Cigarone re-stock the goods….
coincidence?? or their are connections between these two? Someone knows?

    • Sent several emails got similar bs replies:” will ship right away” This website is also operated by Hitcigars and they make it difficult to post a review.

  2. Their prices sometimes higher than the market prices but they provide good customer service and well packaging . So far aint got any trouble with them

  3. I ordered a box of montecristo no 2s from cigarone. The box I received was open, which is their policy, but I cant stand it. They claim its for quality control but the cigars I recieved were the worst quality montes I have ever had. After smoking one I am sure they are real, but they are the ugliest veiniest montes I have ever had. They also had white mold in spots on a few cigars. When I emailed marc about the poor quality and moldy cigars (and sent pictures) instead of trying to make things right he insisted that it was plume and not mold. He even told me to put them in my humidor they are fine, and to just wipe off the “bloom”(MOLD). Not only did they open my box, thumb through all of my cigars, send my obvious poor quality moldy cristos anyways, but marc had the audacity to tell me it wasn’t mold. I made multiple attempts to allow him to fix the problem but instead he decided to start ignoring my email. This was the worst customer service I have ever recieved, and I would highly suggest ordering your cigars elsewhere. There are lots of better sites with cheaper prices. I chose cigarone knowing they opened the boxes because I thought they had good quality control. I was wrong…

    • And this is being represented here as a legitimate company.

    • thanks for the helpful comment. We have many choices so when there are problems like thsi at one, with your substantive contribution we can avoid the bad guys.

    • It is bloom. Had it on many cigars. This is what you want!

      • No such thing as “bloom” or “plume” on a cigar. It’s mold. It’s ALWAYS mold.

        • WRONG Dead wrong my friend. learn something about cigars before you open your mouth.

          • I’ve been smoking cigars for over 20 years, and moking Cubans almost exclusively for over 15, as well as selling them
I know a LOT about cigars. You arent my friend, but if you want to tell yourself that your moldy cigars are just covered in “plume”, go right ahead. Beyond that? You should shut your ignorant piehole when you clearly know NOTHING.

          • Yes, it is always mold. Plume is a myth.

  4. Ibrahim Kurtulus

I shop there frequently. Two of the last batch of cigars (Romeo Juliet Churchills, Hoya de Monterey Epicure Especiales) they shipped to me were of poor quality. The wrapping came apart, some didin’t burn at all, some turned into wood and burned like wood. I was disappointed. If I had another option, I will take it.

    • Dear Ibrahim,

Please share the ORDER NUMBER with us. Thereby you can get a better answer since it shows you are real customer. Otherwise your comment might be construed part of propaganda.
(This is a standard warning for all readers who wants to write own experience)

      • Ibrahim Kurtulus

        The order number was: Kl179258
        Date: 2017-01=19

      • IMPORTANT NOTE: Why would you ask for the order number? Are you the owner of the Cigar Analysis website also?

We know that these two websites is the same and has the same owner:

        CigarOne
        VipCigars
        CigarOne.com
        CigarOne.ch
        Owner: Thierry Farah
Address: 3A Avenue de Chamonix Geneva, GE 1207 Switzerland

    • I have had sometimes a similar experience with Cuban cigars. I think it doesn’t matter which authentic authorized reseller sells them. Cubans aren’t perfect enough. Maddening when they charge a lot for a smoke that doesn’t draw well!

  5. I and several friends have shopped there many times. The prices seem ok to me for what I’m buying. I have purchased boxes of Cohiba Esplenditos, Bolivar Coronas, Hoya Epicures, Vegas Robaina Famosos, Monte #2s, Partagas Lusitanias and Serie D #4, Upman Magnum 50, ERDM Choix Supreme and have smoked several others that friends have offered. I usually shop the weekly specials. I accept that they open the boxes and either remove the Habanos box codes or cover them with their own sticker. You can still see the original box code on the ones they’ve covered up if you remove the sticker and I have run the numbers through the Habanos website. 100% authentic. I have received great cigars and some not so great; construction and taste. Some were the best cigars I’ve ever had. I’ve seen many people offering complaints about the “not-so-great” experiences but I have had exactly the same kind of experiences with Dominican and Nicaraguan cigars at a retail shop. Top-end Padron 1926 that I thought were not that good for $26 and many others. They are cigars. They are hand made (by many hands) from plants and somewhat fragile, therefore I expect some variation in construction, draw, taste, and longevity. I bought two boxes of Bolivar Coronas recently that had the same manufacture date and factory code. The initial taste difference between them was profound, albeit not bad. One box was consistently better than the other for the first inch. Then, they were both really good (rich, leather and cedar with a hint of cinnamon) and about the same. I had the same experience with two boxes of Monte #2. One was “ok”, the other was fantastic. My friends experienced that same with those cigars. I have also found in every case, if you want to have the best possible smoking experience, that you need to resist the urge to open the package and start smoking them right away. Let them rest and balance in the humidor for at least a week or two; longer is better. Enjoy!

  6. Both boxes of Cohiba Esplendidos arrived with the seal already broken. NOT OK! Other vendors I’ve bought from do not do this and there is no valid reason to do this. I won’t be shopping from them again.

    • What other vendors do you buy Cubans from

      • You need to try http://www.dutyfreecubancigars.com. They always shipped sealed and quick service and real Cubans!

Beware of this company if you are ordering from the UK. They don’t make it clear that you have to pay hefty customs duties (50% in my case! They say its in terms but who reads the fine print? They should highlight this clearly in large text!) and the package is held until you do that by the post office and UK Border. They also discourage you from returning it by saying that you will be charged further duties when the package reenters Switzerland on the way back! (in case you refuse to pay duties when you get notice in the UK)

I am putting this up for the benefit of others. Marc from their customers service was quite obtuse as well in his email as you can see from my experience above.

I am going back to my supplier from Amsterdam since they calculate VAT and costs and charge them before sending the products to you.

  9. This company is a RIP OFF. They advertise a three pack, and you order it, and then you only receive one cigar. Through e-mail with Marc, he justifies this by saying they pick one cigar out of a three pack!
Who does that? Misleading to rip you off. Avoid Avoid Avoid!!!

  10. Ordered twice, both boxes were below average quality and price was much higher than should be. I ordered based on customer service reputation. What I learned was don’t dare question their fees.

I have copies of emails from this “Marc” famous for his over the top politeness. For some reason, great customer service means you receive responses to your email inquiries 2 days later on avereage?

All I want is great quality cigars, paying a premium price should ensure great quality and include shipping costs, rather than disguising them with a fee for insurance. Along with no tracking information. None of the other reputable suppliers charge these fees, or shipping. When I questioned the fee and requested it be waived I was treated like a creten of sorts. The politeness turned to sarcastic insults.
Bottom line though, the quality of the habanos was/is not worth the high cost plus fees. For months now I have been receiving from a quality supplier this highest quality cigars at great prices and guaranteed arrival cost included!

  11. NICHOLAS GIACONE

Recently made an order with cigar one. Got some cohiba tubos and a box of 10 of MC #2. The MC #2 look bullshit to me. The habanos authenticity checker shows MC #2. Box is legit. The bands are off. They come unglued quite easily. The montecristo fleur de lis doesn’t pop as much as the ones I just bought in Havana less than a month ago. Lastly, the bands when taken off are shorter and do not have the symbol and numbers on the end of them like every single one of my cigars from Havana do and the cohiba tubos that came in the same package do as well. Every Havana cigar I have has what seems to be their ring gauge at the end of the band.

I emailed my concerns and got quick responses but blaming Habanos quality control for the bands doesn’t really hold up for me.

I call BS on these MC #2’s. Anything I order from them will be tubos in sealed boxes.

  12. I also fell for this obvious scam. I am so disappointed. I didn’t realize the box would come already opened. I have emailed Marc wanting to return my obviously scam cigars. I have left them in the package and he can fight it out with VISA.

    Joe

  13. ordered plenty before and were ok but last 3 orders were trash

  14. I recently placed an order with them for 2 boxes plus additional special items of 3 or 5 cigars. The packages I received contained 5 of each cigar from the full box and 2/3 packs of the smaller lot sizes.

I will update you when I receive any response from him. Have called my credit card company and will be opening a dispute.

  15. I placed an order on 1/4/18 as of 1/21/18 my order has not been received, the consignment website has not been updated in 8 days and Cigar One has not responded to any of my 3 emails to them.

The first order I placed with them went well. This order not so well. At present 17 days after I paid for this I don’t know where my order is and no one from Cigar One will contact me.

  16. I’ve not had any of the negative experiences I’m reading on here. I’ve had 3 separate orders delivered without a hitch. Orders were promptly shipped and any inquiries were promptly responded to by Marc. I’ve had extra packs thrown in my shipment by cigar one on the house. Items were nicely vacuum packed and arrived in good condition. If you order by the box, yes they will be opened. If you have a problem with that you should shop elsewhere. Many other reputable sources, such as FOH, also do the same. You can still look up the authenticity with Habanos by the hidden codes on the green label if you know where to look. I’m 100% sure they deliver authentic product. I’ve never had any of these seals broken when purchasing packs and the product has never been opened.

  17. Hi all aficionados,

I bought some cigars from Cigarone on 14/01/2018, Cigarone remove barcode and stick themselves label, as usual. You can still see the micro-barcode on the original seal label then I used the electronic magnifier to check the authentication. Unfortunately the cabinet of Juan Lopez seleccion No.2 is a fake due to the barcode has showed “999999999999”.

    • This is a printer error. The default numbers I’m the system are 999999999999. There are multiple reports of this happening with multiple brands & retailers. Including at least one LCDH. Your cigars are legit, Juan Lopez Seleccion No 2 is NOT a typical Target for counterfeit ops lol.

  18. I ordered 5 boxes because of the fathers day special they had 3 Partagas D-4 and 2 Bolivar Royal corona I have a few concerns 1.In The partagas boxes the names were not burned in and I wrote to Marc about it and he said it is very normal it only depends where the boxes were made some are burned in and some are not.Could someone explain this to me because I always knew that the names on the box Always were supposed to be burnt in.

  19. I ordered a box of 3 Partagas Serie D No 4, order numbers JF-5251-YBHE. The delivery was fast, package was sealed and cigars were in impeccable condition. Will order from them again. Customer service was also great, very fast and responsive, I got my package within 2 weeks.

  20. I ordered a 3 pack of Partagas Serie D no. 4, The condition was great, the shipment was fast, i got my package in 6 days. Customer support was excellent.

  21. Humberto Hernandez

I have done business with many.

  22. Well, I would have given them a 5 star until recently. I placed an order 10/26, it shipped 10/29. It seemed like it was late, so I traced through the shipper, Swiss Post. This is a real order, and the number is: EH-8550-4NZQ. Swiss Post keeps updating with “Misrouting”. When I click around their website for contact info, they say to contact the shipper, in this case CigarOne. This is where I get pissed off. I’ve sent 4 emails now to [email protected]. I’ve submitted to inquiries to their website contact us form. I’ve had two promotion emails from them, so I know they are alive. BUT, I get no reply AT ALL. I get that this is a Swiss Post problem, but CigarONE has a delivery guarantee that seems useless now. There is no excuse for not replying to a customer. Now, I suppose my only recourse is filing a dispute with American Express. I hope this impacts their business status with them. I’ve been a customer for a few years and while I don’t order each week or month, I order every 3-4 months. VERY DISAPPOINTING!

  23. Christopher Shephard

I have read the reviews/comments and opinions. I have also made my first purchase from the Cigarone website and hopefully this will be a grand experience. We [meaning you and me] are always looking for a good smoke that has all the ingredients that make you look at the cigar and say “This is nice smoke and a good cigar.”

So, wish me luck and a great experience shopping on Cigarone.

    • Terrible customer service. Don’t answer emails for weeks, I have placed my order and take longer for processing!! Are you waiting for leaf to be ready!!

      Very bad

  24. More than 40 days ago I ordered a box of Montecristo Edmundo cigars via cigarone.com. Until today, the cigar has not arrived, even though the card novice has been properly unloaded. I tried to contact them on the phone from the site, but nobody appears on the highlighted number. Should I be worried or it is their regular practice to delay so much delivery. Thank you. Subašić Jana, Luzern, Switzerland.

  25. 50% of the cigars I ordered were plugged/ unsmokable. The serial number to confirm their authenticity on the warranty was removed. If you are OK with getting badly rolled cigars that you can’t confirm on Habanos Authencitty checker then order from this company.

  26. I recently purchased a box of Partagas Serie P No 2. The cigars arrived within the 14 day timeframe on the website, and were in great condition. No complaints. I just order a box of MC No 2, and Hoyo #2 and Upmann 50. Based on post office, these should be arriving soon.

    • Order arrived on time. Just placed my third order. I really like the customer service provided.

  27. i always ordered from Cigarone and their delivery time was very good but the pricing i see right now is just rediculous they were always the most expensive site out there but i would wait for seasonal sales and order but now its sad that they just lost a very good customer its just not worth it anymore way too much competition out there for anyone to overpay by $90 a box of ramon alones or bolivar or partagas that is just crazy

  28. I am a long-term customer with CigarOne for over 10 years. I recently found out an issue as I did a thorough comparison on some cigars I got from cigarone vs. LCDH ( http://www.lacasadelhabano-knokke.be/ ). I ordered a few boxes every year from cingarone since 2010-2012. Then I ordered 14-25 boxes from cigarone.com every year from 2013-2019. Below are the items I purchased two weeks ago from LCDH and did a comparison with those I purchased 1-2 years ago(aged) from cigarone.com.

Taste Totally not acceptable (aged 12-18 months)
    —-‐‐———————————
    Bolívar Belicosos Finos
    Hoyo de Monterrey Épicure Especiales
    Montecristo Edmundo
Hoyo de Monterrey Épicure No. 2
    Montecristo Eagle
    H. Upmann Magnum 46
    Romeo Julieta Wide Churchill
H Upmann Sir Winston (age 3 years)

    Pending for test
    ———————-
    H Upmann Connossieur A
    Partagas Lusitanias

    Taste acceptable
    ————————-
    Romeo Julieta Churchill
    Romney Allones Gigantes

Two of my friends and I spent 2 weeks smoking the same cigars side by side. All 3 of us concluded that the taste of these brands purchased from cigarone.com were totally different from the ones we purchased from LCDH (not aged at all). Cigarone tasted harsher and the aftertaste were not good even though they were aged correctly over 1-2 years in my humidor. All 8-9 different items I smoke is same smell and same taste. It very obvious using same leaf’s. The whole pack of Magnum 46 purchased even has a thicker ring gauge compared to the ones from LCDH. I was extremely shocked about the result.

Some of you may probably argue there’s a quality control discrepancy, however we are now comparing cigars from the same brand, same model but from different boxes and sellers. This is far more than a quality control issue, in my opinion. We were all very disappointed and upset after we found out all 300+ cigars we had and been sitting in our humidor for years are not as tasty as the ones that we recently got.

Good that I purchased Most Cohiba and other expensive brands from Europe by myself. Otherwise I have nothing left to smoke. I have receipts and photos to prove all above what I said. Honestly, I suggest cigar buyers can do a comparison a few same cigars from authorized dealer with the other website that you purchased from. You dont want to spend an hour or more to smoke something that you dont enjoy.
Please remember a box of cigars is 20-25 sticks. A few boxes cost you a hundred days to smoke. It’s worth to do some wise comparison before you spend a stack of money on it. I agreed this is my own stupidity by not doing a serious comparison all over the years. I just want to share my experience as a consumer. I will go for lcdh only from now on.

P.S. Buy one box cigar from wherever you like, then buy a few sticks (Same brand Same model) from authorized retailer and compare. I think this is the best way and you will know.

  29. I ordered a box of Cohiba Robustos from CigarOne. I had ordered several cigars prior with really no issue. This current box however is an issue. The top or lid of the box label ‘Habanos’ on the upper right corner is offset from the rest of the label by at least an inch. Clearly the lid on my box belongs to another box. I’ve emailed and sent photos with no reply. It’s unfortunate I can’t submit a photo on this review site because I’d like to illustrate just how ridiculous this looks. I’ve never have seen something so blatantly obvious. It’s really disappointing to realize I was probably fleeced. Hopefully, they’ll come back with an explanation and if so I will post here again.

    • Marc replied and explained that during quality control the lids were simply mixed up and placed on the wrong box. He assures cigars are 100% authentic.

  30. Hello everyone

Im writing this email to everyone who is planning to buy fr them, first : Fast respond before placing an order but but if you have placed an order no one will respond to you!! Also, processing time of the shipment beyond 5 days !! Just a processing !! 31. I’ve ordered a couple 3 and 4 packs and they were great I ordered a couple boxes and I’ll update you guys when they come. They ship after a day and come to me within a week
